We’ve been pretty quiet these past few weeks, and we know you’ve noticed.
There was a good reason for being quiet — it seems our friends in California like the name of our town as much as we do. They already had it trademarked!
It kind of threw us for a loop, as you can imagine.
The past few weeks have been tough, and it forced us to make a U-turn. We can no longer be San Saba Wine Cellars. We had to choose a new name. Fortunately we had one waiting in the wings that turned out to be perfect.
Welcome to Wedding Oak Winery.
It doesn’t change who we are, our love for Texas grapes or the area that encompasses San Saba. We have a commitment to this town and we feel a deep connection to its history. In fact we’re choosing to see the glass as half full.
This is an opportunity, not a setback. Never again will there be another San Saba Wine Cellars. Just a little piece of history — you know we love that kind of thing.
