Texas High Plains fruit that ripened late into the season produced an elegant wine with lots of fruitiness on the nose and balanced structure on the palate.
Dark garnet center with a hint of pink on the rim. Aromas of red currant, cranberry, baking spice, vanilla, balsamic, brined olives, and earth. Tight and tart red fruit and green olive on the palate with moderate tannins, medium+ acid.
88% Montepulciano, 10% Petit Verdot, 2% Sangiovese.
Aged for 18 months in neutral French oak.
