Orange Muscat 2014

Dry and aromatic

Tasting Notes

This wine was crafted of 100% Orange Muscat. It pours a vibrant yellow with orange highlights into the glass. The nose and palate are met with an effervescent bouquet of orange blossoms, honey suckle, Meyer lemons, marcona almonds and a touch of cedar. It is fresh and pleasing while also having a great earthiness quality. It has a mouth coating creaminess but the sweetness is well balanced, not at all overpowering.

Winemaker Notes

The grapes were machine harvested at Diamante Doble Vineyard in Tokio, TX at night and were transported chilled to the winery. They were pressed, chilled and settled in stainless steel and then racked and inoculated for primary fermentation. Fermentation was long and cold allowing for increased aromatics.
