Reconcilable Differences 2016
Dry red wine from select Texas vineyards.
Produced in a drier style than previous vintage this dark red-purple colored wine shows aromas of cooked cherries, caramel, brown sugar, and thyme. Despite the dryness of the wine, the palate is loaded with red and black fruit flavors and has fairly robust tannins.
This wine was produced a wide-ranging blend of predominantly Tempranillo and Dolcetto grapes grown in both the Texas the Hill Country and High Plains. Each lot of grapes was processed separately and blended post primary aging. The grapes underwent cold maceration prior to inoculation of primary fermentation. Gentle pump-overs twice daily helped to extract better tannins and character before pressing off approximately 5 days later. Wine was briefly vatted and racked into neutral French oak for aging.
Aged in neutral French oak for 18 months.
