Rioja-style blend of grapes yielding an intensely colored wine with layers of brambles, red tree fruit including cherry and plum. The Graciano contributes ripe deep aromas of mulberry. The big tannins will soften with aging but finishes well now.

Winemaker Notes

The grapes come from San Saba County where they were hand harvested and transported to the winery. Grapes were sorted prior to de-stemming and crushing and then chilled for short period before inoculation of primary fermentation. Primary fermentation took place over period of several weeks with frequent pump overs.

Cooperage Notes

One year in neutral French Oak barrels.
