Sangiovese 2015

This wine is produced with hand-harvested grapes grown in the Tio Pancho Vineyard in San Saba County. 86% Sangiovese and 14% Tannat.

Tasting Notes

Our Sangiovese is a gorgeous, medium bodied wine with a deep garnet color. It is bursting with vibrant aromas of red cherries and violets, as well as ripe strawberry and cherry flavors with a hint of tea and cedar. This vintage is made with a blend of 86 percent Sangiovese and 14 percent Tannat, which gives it additional structure.

Winemaker's Notes

These grapes are from Tio Pancho Vineyard in San Saba County where they were hand harvested and transported to the winery. Fruit was sorted, de-stemmed and crushed into stainless steel tanks. Primary fermentation took place in stainless steel and secondary fermentation in neutral French oak barrels. Aging in French oak barrels for 14 months.
