Tasting Notes

Possessing a bright red color in the glass, this wine has aromas of sweet cherry, dill, leather, prunes, and black tea. Bright acid on the palate mixes with flavors of cooked cherries along with soft tannins.

Winemaker Notes

The fruit was grown at Diamante Doble Vineyard in the Texas High Plains. The fruit was de-stemmed on board mechanical harvester and then transported to our production facility for processing. A short cold maceration was followed by inoculation of primary fermentation and gentle twice-daily pump-overs for 5 days prior to pressing. The young wine was vatted and racked into barrel for aging.

Cooperage Notes

Aged in neutral French Oak for 20 months.
